Serbia recorded stronger goods export growth in the first half of 2026, led by capital and intermediate products and a larger contribution from manufacturing.
Manufacturing dominates export growth
Goods exports increased 8.3% in January-June. Manufacturing accounted for 88% of total exports and recorded 9% growth, while mining exports rose 34.7%. Capital goods provided the strongest contribution among major export categories. Their exports increased 26.1%, lifting their share of total exports to 28.8%.
Intermediate goods maintain largest share
Intermediate goods accounted for 43.5% of Serbia’s exports and increased 9.8% during the period.
Capital and intermediate goods together represented more than 70% of total goods exports, reflecting the growing role of industrial products in Serbia’s foreign sales. Automotive production was a major component of the capital-goods expansion, alongside machinery, electrical equipment and parts of the wider industrial supply chain.
