Serbia’s public debt continued to decrease, reaching 38.7 billion euros at the end of April this year, which represents 43.9 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP). This data was released today by the Ministry of Finance.
The downward trend is evident compared to previous periods. At the end of March, public debt stood at 39.05 billion euros, accounting for 44.3 percent of GDP. At the close of 2024, it was approximately 38.9 billion euros, or 47.2 percent of GDP.
