EU CBAM Verification Rules Raise Requirements for Serbian Wind and Solar Exports

The European Commission has brought the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) for electricity closer to practical implementation by issuing dedicated guidance for CBAM verifiers and National Accreditation Bodies. Accredited verifiers can begin entering the CBAM Registry from 1 September 2026, while formal verification reports for the 2026 reporting year can be issued from January 2027.
