Serbia showcased its national pavilion at the 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) in Xiamen, China, under the slogan “From Serbia – With Love”. The pavilion was inaugurated by Serbia’s Agriculture Minister Glamočić, Economy Ministry State Secretary Andrijana Jovanović, Belgrade Deputy Mayor Vesna Vidović, and Serbian Chamber of Commerce Deputy President Igor Popović, alongside local officials from Fujian Province and Xiamen city.
A key initiative launched in Xiamen is the “Serbian House,” aimed at promoting Serbian culture, gastronomy, science, and business. Glamočić highlighted Serbia’s green and digital economy, investor-friendly environment, and access to a market of 1.5 billion people through free trade agreements.
During the fair, several agreements were signed, including commercial contracts, cooperation frameworks, memorandums of understanding, and a twinning agreement between Belgrade and Xiamen. The twinning pact, signed by Vesna Vidović and Xiamen Deputy Mayor Zuan Rongliang, formalizes long-term friendship and opens opportunities for collaboration in culture, education, economy, tourism, and sports.
CIFIT 2025 brought together over 110 countries and regions, including 77 Belt and Road participant nations, positioning Serbia as an active player in international investment and trade. The event emphasizes collaboration between China and global partners under the theme “Partner with China, Invest in the Future.”
