Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that Serbia, as host of the specialized EXPO 2027, can learn valuable lessons from Japan’s experience organizing EXPO 2025 in Osaka. During his visit to Osaka, Vučić emphasized that the event is a major opportunity for Serbia to showcase its technological progress, including developments in artificial intelligence, and to present itself on the global stage.
He highlighted the importance of financial discipline and careful planning, noting that previous Serbian participation in EXPO Dubai was more costly than necessary. Vučić stressed that Serbia must follow Japan’s example of dedication and responsibility to complete all necessary infrastructure projects, including the recently approved stadium construction.
Vučić also pointed out the lasting impact EXPO had on Osaka, with the city displaying extensive promotional materials and benefiting culturally and economically, expressing hope that EXPO 2027 will similarly instill pride among Serbian citizens.
