The Tourist Organization of Serbia (TOS) is taking part in the 45th International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Madrid, which began on January 22 and runs until January 26. Alongside TOS and national carrier “Air Serbia,” the tourist organizations of Vojvodina and Subotica, as well as numerous agencies and hotels, are also presenting their offerings at the shared stand.
The Serbian delegation includes Spain market manager Aneta Uskoković and Olga Stojanović, who are engaging in numerous meetings with representatives from the global tourism industry during this major event. The national pavilion of Serbia was visited by Irena Šarac, the Serbian ambassador to Spain, accompanied by her team.
FITUR, officially opened by the Spanish royal couple, is one of the largest and most influential tourism fairs worldwide, attracting 250,000 visitors, 9,500 companies, and 884 exhibitors from 156 countries. This event provides a valuable platform to foster new business connections and boost Serbia’s presence in international tourism.
According to the latest data from the Republic Institute of Statistics, the number of Spanish tourists visiting Serbia increased in the first 11 months of 2024, along with a 9% rise in overnight stays compared to the same period in 2023.
