The Serbian government submitted a draft law to parliament to allow facilities built for the international specialized exhibition Expo to be used or put into operation for up to 24 months after a positive technical inspection report.
The law applies to both infrastructure and other objects included in the Spatial Plan, as well as facilities directly serving these objects, provided they have a construction permit, temporary permit, or work approval. The technical inspection commission must confirm that basic legal requirements are met and recommend the facility for use.
Temporary construction permits for setting up or removing participant pavilions inside these facilities can be issued after the main construction permit and a positive inspection report. Investors and participants can jointly hold rights and responsibilities for these permits if consent is provided.
The government will regulate detailed procedures, including the content of inspection reports, pavilion installation rules, and operational guidelines. Once facilities are in use, local authorities and public services are responsible for maintaining public areas constructed under the Spatial Plan.
