The Serbian government has approved an updated decree limiting retail chain margins. The new rules cap “logistics rebates” at 3% and fees for stock shortages or write-offs at 1%.
The amendment follows concerns that retailers were trying to exploit the original decree, which from September 1 limits chain margins to 20%, by imposing extra costs on producers.
