The Government of Serbia has decided to form a Working Group to conduct negotiations and draft a contract for the Construction and Modernization of Konstantin Veliki Airport in Niš – Phase 2.
The Working Group will collaborate with the Chinese company Shandong Hi-Speed Group Co. Ltd. to define the scope and value of works and services for the project, as well as the key elements of the future contract.
Ranko Šekularac, State Secretary at the Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure, will lead the Working Group, while Tatjana Ivković from the same ministry will serve as secretary and coordinator.
Members of the group include representatives from several institutions, including the Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Economy, and the company Airports of Serbia.
The Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure will provide technical and expert support, and members and engaged personnel will not receive compensation for their work.
Upon completion of the negotiations, the Working Group will submit a report to the Government outlining the key elements of the contract and recommendations for further actions.
The decision will come into effect on the eighth day after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia.
