Russia and Serbia will sign an 800 million dollar loan agreement in Moscow on January 11 to bring Serbian railway lines up to date.
The loan is granted at 4.1% annual interest rate and is due to be repaid in five years.
It was back in 2008 that Serbia asked Russia for a 1 billion dollar loan.
The agreement was signed two years later, with the first tranche of 200 million dollars allocated also in 2010 to pay for Serbia’s budget deficit.
Moscow said it would grant the remaining 800 million dollars once it got feasibility studies for the projects.
