In June 2025, the median net salary in Serbia was 83,525 dinars, meaning half of employees earned less than that amount, the Republic Statistical Office (RZS) reported. The average net salary stood at 107,075 dinars.
Public sector employees earned more, with an average net salary of 110,416 dinars, while those in state administration received the highest pay — averaging 124,713 dinars, or 16.5% above the national average and nearly 50% higher than the median. Employees in state-owned enterprises earned an average of 118,772 dinars.
The number of state administration employees grew to 133,383 by the end of June, up 911 from earlier in the year, marking a 0.7% increase.
By sector, employees in legal entities had the highest average salaries (114,363 dinars), while entrepreneurs and their employees earned the least (55,365 dinars). Non-employed persons earned an average of 64,198 dinars.
From January to June 2025, gross and net wages rose by 11% in nominal terms and 6.4% in real terms compared to the same period last year.
