The latest data from the Republic Institute of Statistics on net earnings for November reveals significant income disparities across different sectors. Programmers are the highest-paid professionals, earning an average salary of 300,795 dinars, which is nearly six times higher than those working in “other service activities,” whose average salary for November was 52,853 dinars.
Several sectors reported earnings below the national average of 100,738 dinars for November. Workers in agriculture earned an average of 80,055 dinars, those in trade received 84,871 dinars, while accommodation and food service employees earned 60,699 dinars. Travel agency workers made 74,096 dinars, and those in veterinary activities earned 69,859 dinars. Food preparation and serving employees had an average salary of 55,589 dinars.
On the other hand, some sectors boasted above-average salaries. Employees in electricity and gas supply earned an average of 118,435 dinars, while telecommunications workers made 155,287 dinars. The financial services sector also had a higher-than-average wage, with employees earning 165,460 dinars, and workers in the production of coke and oil derivatives earned an average of 139,343 dinars.
In certain specialized fields, earnings were even higher. Air traffic employees had an average salary of 216,120 dinars, while those in scientific research earned an average of 217,161 dinars.
The processing industry, which employs the largest number of workers, reported an average salary of 88,317 dinars. Incomes in this sector varied widely, with employees in wood processing earning an average of 58,923 dinars, while those working in the tobacco industry earned a significantly higher average of 164,123 dinars.
