Telekom Srbija has achieved significant financial milestones, reporting annual revenues of €2.3 billion, solidifying its status as a leading telecom operator in South-East Europe. The company’s latest results reflect not only growth in scale but also a strategic shift towards higher-margin operations that integrate infrastructure and content.
The firm recorded an operating profit of €1.3 billion, with the Serbian market being the primary contributor. Revenues from Serbia reached €1.65 billion, while the operating profit from this segment was €960 million, emphasizing the importance of the domestic market to overall performance.
Audited results indicate a net profit exceeding €200 million for 2025, with projections suggesting an increase to over €300 million in 2026, driven by strong first-quarter results. This upward trajectory is particularly impressive compared to 2018 when total revenues were less than €1 billion, indicating that Telekom has effectively doubled its top line within seven years.
The company’s growth is attributed to a focused consolidation strategy that has allowed it to leverage control over fixed infrastructure, content production, and bundled services. This integration has created a platform that competitors increasingly rely on, enhancing Telekom’s position as the dominant infrastructure provider in the region and generating additional revenue streams through wholesale and licensing.
In addition to its domestic success, Telekom Srbija is expanding its regional and international presence. Its operations now extend across several European markets, including Germany and Austria, with plans for further expansion into the US market and strategies to monetize its diaspora.
A significant aspect of Telekom’s strategy is its aim to align with the European Union’s telecommunications framework, particularly through the potential removal of roaming charges between the EU and Western Balkans by 2027. Such changes could integrate Serbia more fully into the European telecom landscape, creating new cross-border revenue opportunities.
Telekom Srbija’s performance highlights the increasing significance of telecommunications within Serbia’s economy, where the sector contributes over 8% of GDP. The company’s size and investment capacity position it as a vital player in driving digital and economic development.
Financial metrics suggest that Telekom is transitioning from a growth phase to becoming a cash-generating entity. Strong operating margins and rising net profits provide opportunities for continued capital expenditures in 5G networks, fiber infrastructure, and digital services while also supporting potential dividends and debt management.
Overall, Telekom Srbija is evolving beyond a national telecom operator into a regional digital infrastructure and media platform. With revenues reaching €2.3 billion and profitability on the rise, it is increasingly comparable to European mid-tier telecom groups in both scale and strategic focus.
