EU Plans Broader CBAM Scope for Serbian Machinery and Metal Exporters

Serbian manufacturers of machinery, electrical equipment and processed metal products could face additional EU carbon-compliance requirements as the European Union considers extending the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) to downstream industrial goods. The European Parliament voted on the proposed expansion and returned the legislation to interinstitutional negotiations.
