Serbia Integrates 18 Banks into SEPA Payments System, Advancing EU Financial Alignment

Serbia’s banking sector completed its integration into the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) in May 2026, with 18 Serbian banks officially joining SEPA schemes. The system enables faster, cheaper and more reliable euro-denominated transactions between participating Serbian banks and EU financial institutions.
