Serbia targets mining-equipment supply chain role as regional fabrication base

Serbia’s industrial base could support a regional mining-equipment supply network combining local engineering and fabrication with components sourced from European and wider international manufacturers. The model is based on using Serbia for engineering, steelwork, modular fabrication and pre-assembly rather than relocating the manufacture of every mining machine. Early feasibility assumptions indicate that suitable fabricated packages could achieve landed-cost savings of roughly 10% to 25%, provided engineering, quality control, logistics and project interfaces are managed effectively.
