Serbia Targets Logistics Upgrade as EU-Funded Rail Corridor Expands Regional Trade Capacity

Serbia is moving forward with the modernisation of the Niš–Dimitrovgrad railway, supported by €134 million in European Union funding. The package includes a €100 million EIB Global loan for the Sićevo–Dimitrovgrad section covering reconstruction, signalling, and electrification works, alongside a €34 million EU grant for construction of a rail bypass around Niš.
