The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management has announced a public call for applications to receive subsidies in livestock farming for the fattening of cattle, pigs, lambs and kids for this year, with a total fund of 4.5 billion dinars available.
All registered holders of commercial family farms, entrepreneurs, and legal entities can submit their applications electronically via the eAgrar platform from May 21 to June 20, 2025.
Applications must be submitted separately for each type of fattened livestock, including mandatory identification numbers of the animals and supporting documents confirming the delivery of animals to slaughterhouses, export, or transfer within Kosovo. Applicants who keep animals in leased facilities or through cooperative agreements must also provide certified contracts.
For farms located in areas with difficult agricultural conditions — specifically in the Jablanica, Toplica, and Pčinja districts — subsidies are increased by 10%.
The subsidies amount to 22,000 dinars per fattened calf, 3,000 dinars per fattened lamb or kid, and 1,500 dinars per fattened pig.
