At the end of August, total loans to businesses, citizens, and entrepreneurs in Serbia reached approximately RSD 4.113 trillion, marking a 1.2% increase compared to July, according to the Serbian Banking Association.
Loans to businesses totaled around RSD 2.221 trillion, rising 1.1% from the previous month, while loans to entrepreneurs increased by 0.7%, reaching approximately RSD 90 billion.
Household debt to banks stood at RSD 1.802 trillion, up 1.2% from July. Among household loans, cash loans grew by 1.4%, mortgages by 1.1%, refinancing loans by 2.8%, and agricultural loans by 0.2%. Consumer loans, however, remained unchanged compared to July.
The share of overdue loan repayments remained steady at 2% of total bank loans, the same level as in the previous month.
