The average net salary in Serbia for 2024 was 98,143 dinars, marking a nominal increase of 14.1% compared to the previous year, and a real increase of 9.1%, according to the Republic Statistical Office (RZS).
When comparing earnings by sector, the highest real growth in 2024 compared to 2023 was observed in education, with an increase of 11.3%, followed by accommodation and food services at 11.2%, and the manufacturing industry at 11.0%.
The highest earnings, excluding taxes and contributions, were in computer programming and consulting, amounting to 286,867 dinars. Other high-paying sectors included air traffic with 207,965 dinars, scientific research and development with 199,411 dinars, and tobacco product manufacturing at 177,413 dinars.
Regionally, the highest average net salary in 2024 was recorded in the Belgrade region, at 124,010 dinars. In Vojvodina, the average salary was 92,725 dinars, while in Southern and Eastern Serbia, it was 84,083 dinars. The lowest average salary was found in Šumadija and Western Serbia, where it stood at 82,433 dinars.
