The domestic stock market in Serbia reached a new multi-year high in September, although trading volume remained modest and concentrated in a few stocks.
The Belex15 index rose 1.6% to 1,221 points, with total market turnover at 477.9 million dinars (€4.1 million). Dunav Insurance (DNOS) was by far the most traded stock, with a turnover of 51.7 million dinars, according to Momentum Securities. Nikola Tesla Airport (AERO) recorded 18.8 million dinars in trading, while Metalac (MTLC) saw a turnover of 15.5 million dinars.
Ahead of its half-year results, Dunav Insurance surged 7.4% to 1,665 dinars, leading the gainers. Messer Tehnogas (TGAS) increased 2.2% to 36,000 dinars, and Metalac rose slightly to 2,101 dinars. Impol Seval (IMPL), following another disappointing half-year report, fell 3.7% to 7,700 dinars, while Energoprojekt Holding (ENHL) dropped 1.0% to 491 dinars despite posting surprisingly high profits in the first six months.
