Last year, 860 apartments were built in Novi Pazar, the highest number in the past 15 years, according to official data from the Republic Statistical Office. Novi Pazar is currently the fifth largest site for apartment construction in Serbia, following Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš, and Kragujevac.
Two years earlier, 617 apartments were completed in the city, while in 2022, the number was significantly lower at 441.
In contrast, apartment construction in surrounding municipalities has declined compared to the previous decade. In Raška, 83 apartments were completed last year, 25 fewer than in 2023. The record year for construction in Raška was 2019, with 245 apartments built.
In Tutin, 57 housing units were completed in 2024, down from 80 two years earlier. The highest number of apartments built in Tutin was also in 2019, with 178 units.
Sjenica saw only 34 apartments built last year, nearly four times less than in 2020, when 124 were completed.
