The Governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), Jorgovanka Tabaković, has been awarded an “A-” grade by the international financial magazine Global Finance, according to an announcement from the NBS. The rating is part of the magazine’s 2025 Central Banker Report Cards, which evaluate central bank governors on criteria such as inflation control, economic growth targets, currency stability, interest rate management, and political independence. Ratings range from “A+” (exceptional performance) to “F” (complete failure).
In this year’s report, the governors of Denmark, the United States, and Vietnam received the highest “A+” grade. Tabaković is listed among 14 governors who earned an “A-” rating, while nine governors achieved an “A”.
Global Finance has published the Central Banker Report Cards annually since 1994, assessing central bank governors from nearly 100 countries and regions, including the European Union, the Central Bank of the Eastern Caribbean, the Bank of the Central African States, and the Central Bank of the West African States.
