Erste Bank in Serbia reported continued growth in lending activity and digital users in the second quarter of 2025. Loans to individuals and micro clients increased by 9.8% compared to the end of 2024, reaching 125.44 billion dinars. Deposits from these clients decreased slightly by 0.7% to 162.38 billion dinars.
Loans to corporate clients rose by 14.8% to 144.16 billion dinars, while their deposits fell by 9.9% to 110.78 billion dinars.
The bank’s operating income was 0.3% lower than in the same period last year, while operating expenses grew by 8.6%. Operating profit declined by 7.9% to 5.09 billion dinars. Interest income amounted to 7.91 billion dinars, down 0.5% year-on-year. Net fee and commission income increased by 9.9% to 2.43 billion dinars.
Erste Bank’s net profit at the end of Q2 2025 was 4.14 billion dinars, a 4.6% decrease compared to 4.35 billion dinars in the same period of 2024.
The bank’s total assets stood at 413.1 billion dinars, with a capital adequacy ratio of 21.83%. The non-performing loan (NPL) ratio was 2.42%. Digital banking users grew by 2.5% since the end of 2024, reaching approximately 192,000 active internet and mobile banking customers.
