Serbian Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic and Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov opened a joint Serbian-Bulgarian police and customs contact center at the border crossing of Kalotina. Dacic and Tsvetanov stated that good relations of Serbia and Bulgaria are very important for stability and prosperity of the region. The opening of the Center is another step towards Serbia’s European course, pointed the two officials, adding that Serbia and Bulgaria are friendly countries that should support each other and cooperate in all fields. Dacic stated that the Center is intended for a joint fight against organized crime and corruption, pointing that it is important to open new border crossings between Serbia and Bulgaria in the coming months and years. Tsvetanov emphasized that the opening of the call center is a proof that the work done over the past several years on the exchange of information aimed at combating organized crime has been completed nicely,” Tsvetanov said, adding that the EU highly appreciates Serbia and Bulgaria’s joint work.
