Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic met yesterday with Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Vincent Degert to discuss the activities undertaken by relevant government authorities in order to complete the digitisation process in Serbia, as well as the challenges they face in implementing that goal. Ljajic said during the meeting that the government and the ministry set the digitisation project among the priority objectives, and expressed confidence that the process despite delays in the past few years will be completed by June 2015.
He stressed that he expects the first results to be visible in the first quarter of 2013.
Degert pointed out that the deadline for the completion of digitisation of all of Europe area is 17 June 2015, and pointed out the EU’s willingness to continue participation in the financing of this project in Serbia, he would have been completed on time.
