Chinese automotive parts manufacturer Minth Metal Parts Balkan doo Majur, a subsidiary of the Minth Group, has announced plans to establish its fourth production facility in Šabac, Serbia. This new plant will focus on the manufacturing of decorative mouldings and sealing components tailored for the automotive sector. The company has already submitted an application for a green permit, which is essential for obtaining the necessary environmental clearance to begin construction and subsequent operations at the site.
This investment is part of Minth’s broader expansion strategy within the Šabac industrial cluster, where it currently operates three existing facilities engaged in various automotive production activities. The first plant was set up in 2022 and specializes in aluminum automotive components through Minth United Alloy-Tech Europe. Additionally, there is a modern aluminum processing foundry managed by Minal Europe Green Material and a facility dedicated to producing battery housings for electric vehicles under Minth Automotive Europe. These operations have established Šabac as a significant hub in Minth’s European manufacturing network.
The new factory is projected to produce as many as 172 million decorative trims and seals each year, enhancing Minth’s capacity to supply both interior and exterior components to automotive assemblers throughout Europe. Securing the green permit is a crucial regulatory milestone that will influence the project’s timeline and ensure compliance with Serbia’s environmental regulations.
Minth’s ongoing investments are indicative of the broader trends in Serbia’s industrial sector and foreign direct investment landscape. The company has consistently allocated substantial resources to automotive production initiatives in recent years while collaborating with major global brands across its operational network.
