At the ceremonial opening of the Danube Corridor section, China’s ambassador to Serbia, Li Ming, praised the significant achievement as a testament to the continuous development of Serbia’s economy and the deepening partnership between Serbia and China.
Li emphasized the importance of this project in fulfilling the vision set by Presidents Aleksandar Vučić and Xi Jinping, reinforcing the ongoing collaboration between the two nations for a shared future. He expressed confidence that their cooperation would continue to yield even greater success.
The ambassador acknowledged that the successful completion of the Danube Corridor section was made possible by the unwavering support of Serbian President Vučić, Serbian institutions, and the dedicated work of Shandong Hi-Speed Group and local subcontractors.
Li also recognized the remarkable economic growth in Serbia under President Vučić’s leadership, positioning the country among Europe’s fastest-growing economies. He noted that the country’s progress benefits its citizens, with improvements in public services directly tied to the Serbian government’s development-driven approach.
Looking ahead, Li Ming expressed optimism that the new road would foster further regional development and continued cooperation between China and Serbia on large-scale infrastructure projects, contributing to the modernization of both countries and enhancing the quality of life for their people.
Finally, the ambassador reiterated that both China and Serbia are committed to stable development and playing a constructive role on the international stage, promoting peace.
