From January 1 to May 31, 2025, Air Serbia transported more than 1,529,000 passengers, marking a 6% increase compared to the same period last year. Operating from Belgrade, Niš, and Kraljevo airports, the national carrier conducted nearly 1,000 more flights in the first five months than in 2024. This growth reflects passengers’ growing trust in the fastest-growing airline in the Western Balkans.
Although the official summer aviation season began on March 31, Air Serbia’s busiest period is still ahead. In May alone, the airline carried over 392,000 passengers, a 5.4% increase over May 2024, supported by a 1.5% increase in available seats.
Looking forward, May marks several milestones for Air Serbia: for the first time, regular flights will operate to Mykonos, Sardinia, and Tbilisi, alongside the return of direct flights between Belgrade and Geneva. According to Jirži Marek, Air Serbia’s General Director, the airline’s extensive destination network remains a key strength, attracting travelers across the region and beyond.
In May, the most popular regional destinations included Tivat and Podgorica, while Western European travelers favored Paris, Zurich, Barcelona, and Milan. In the Euro-Mediterranean area, Istanbul, Larnaca, and Athens were top choices.
