Serbia Positions Shipyards for European River Fleet Renewal

Serbia’s inland shipbuilding industry is developing a broader role in the European river-vessel supply chain as operators face an ageing fleet, tighter environmental requirements and increasingly volatile water levels. The sector generates approximately €75 million–€80 million in annual revenue, employs around 1,200 people directly and comprises roughly 40 businesses.
