This year, Serbia issued more than 50,000 work permits to foreigners, with the majority coming from five European and Asian countries

The National Employment Service issued a total of 50,397 work permits to foreign citizens in Serbia in 2023, according to data from the Ministry of Labor and Employment. The highest number of work permits was issued to citizens of Russia (19,645), followed by China, Turkey, India, and Nepal.
