At a meeting held at the Ministry of Agriculture, attended by Minister Aleksandar Martinović and representatives from several dairy companies, it was agreed that two major dairies – Imlek from Belgrade and Dr. Milk from Ub – would purchase all excess milk in the coming days.
The agreement followed a discussion on the surplus milk issues that have emerged in certain regions of the country. The two dairies provided phone numbers through which other dairies and milk producers can contact them regarding the purchase of excess milk.
The meeting also addressed the purchase of excess cheese, particularly those stored in smaller and medium-sized dairies in central Serbia.
“The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management will fully support milk producers in resolving all challenges they face,” Minister Martinović stated. The meeting was attended by the president’s and prime minister’s agricultural advisers, representatives of Imlek and Dr. Milk, as well as representatives from Lazar – Blace, Milk House, SZR Mlekar, Kraljevačke Mlekare, and the chocolate factory Barry Callebaut.
