Serbia’s budget deficit for the first quarter of this year stood at 27.8 billion dinars, which is 122.7 billion dinars better than the budget plan. The initial deficit was projected to be 150.5 billion dinars, according to the Ministry of Finance. In March, the deficit amounted to 2.1 billion dinars, as reported on the Ministry’s website, according to N1.
In March, total revenues reached 158.1 billion dinars, with tax revenues accounting for 139.7 billion dinars.
The largest portion of tax revenues came from VAT payments, totaling 75.7 billion dinars, and excise duties, which amounted to 26.3 billion dinars. Corporate profit tax collected in March was 18.8 billion dinars.
Non-tax revenues amounted to 17.8 billion dinars, while donations for the month totaled 0.5 billion dinars.
Total expenditures in March were 160.2 billion dinars.
