The Government of Serbia has approved the expropriation and administrative transfer of land and buildings required for the construction of the New Belgrade railway station complex.
The expropriation covers land and structures in the Novi Beograd cadastral area, necessary for building railway tracks, station facilities, bridges, underpasses, overpasses, culverts, and infrastructure installations including gas, electricity, heating, water, sewage, telecommunications, and high-voltage lines.
This decision aligns with the General Regulation Plan for railway systems in Belgrade, incorporating elements of the second metro line, and the detailed regulation plans for the bus and railway station complex in Block 42, Novi Beograd.
The Republic of Serbia is designated as the expropriation beneficiary.
The second phase of construction includes a new station building with a vestibule and access square, covering approximately 17,000 m².
