UK-based investment fund Salford Capital Partners is expected to sell its Serbian dairy company Imlek [BEL:IMLK] by the middle of 2012, local media reported on Tuesday.
Imlek is owned by Salford through its Dutch-based unit Danube Foods.
“We are currently in talks with two potential buyers,” said, quoting Danube Foods director in Serbia Slobodan Petrovic.
In Serbia, Salford also owns water bottler Knjaz Milos, dairy Mlekara Subotica and confectionery maker Bambi – Banat.
Salford has so far invested $250 million (173 million euro) from its own funds in Serbia and an additional $150 million euro from loans, Petrovic said.
