The Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure of Serbia has launched a call for bids to design, supply, and install an integrated traffic management system (ITS) along the A1 highway, from Subotica to Preševo. This project is part of the Western Balkans Trade and Transport Facilitation Project (WBTTF), funded by the World Bank.
The system will be implemented at 21 highway intersections, with the central Traffic Management and Control Center (TMSC) planned for the Regional Center in Niš. The ITS will integrate data from both new equipment installed under this contract and existing on-site devices.
The selected supplier will be responsible for:
- Designing, supplying, and installing the ITS with multiple subsystems, including permanent traffic detection units, large variable message signs, video surveillance cameras, and a central management platform with a graphical interface.
- Providing technical support for six months during the warranty period.
- Delivering an as-built project documentation upon completion.
Bids can be submitted starting October 27, 2025.
