Serbia has significant potential to expand its agricultural exports and invest in production capacities, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management Dragan Glamočić stated at the Serbia-China Business Meeting during the Xiamen International Investment Fair.
The meeting brought together representatives from 33 Chinese companies and numerous business organizations from the region, highlighting a friendly and productive atmosphere and mutual willingness to strengthen economic ties.
Glamočić emphasized Serbia’s commitment to deepening cooperation with China through concrete business arrangements, aiming to create new value and open new markets.
Representatives from Xiamen noted that the city conducts about $140 billion in annual foreign trade, evenly split between imports and exports, compared to Serbia’s trade volume with China of around $100 million, signaling significant room for growth.
Leading Chinese companies from sectors including trade, mining, energy, and environmental protection expressed interest in cooperation, including Xiamen C&D Corp., Xiamen ITG Holding Group, Seashine Group, Zijin Mining Group, and Lonjing Environment Technology.
