Gas for Serbia may be less than 450 dollars

In recent weeks, the prices of practically all energy sources in Europe have been going up, so this is also the case with the price of natural gas. Now, 1,000 cubic meters of this energy source costs up to 1,200 dollars, and the price of natural gas began to rise during the summer.
In August, the price for 1,000 cubic meters reached the amount of about 600 dollars, and since then, that amount requires twice as much money.
All that time, there is no change in the price of a cubic meter in our country, that is, the citizens of Serbia still pay for a cubic meter of this energy source as before. However, it can be said with great certainty that the price will soon be higher, and how much this change will be and how much natural gas will cost our country from next year should be known after the talks between the Presidents of Serbia and Russia Aleksandar Vučić and Vladimir Putin who will meet in Moscow next week.
Although the price is not known, it could be around 450 dollars for 1,000 cubic meters, and as the general director of PE “Srbijagas” Dusan Bajatovic recently said, after talks between the two presidents, Serbia could expect a gas price that will be more favorable than 450 dollars for 1,000 cubic meters.
The stock market price of gas is 1,200 dollars
So, for now, consumers of natural gas in Serbia should not expect a change in the price of a cubic meter, or a change in the amount of heating costs during the heating season, and there will be no change in prices for Serbia, despite a significant increase, Bajatović repeated several times. By the way, the current price of natural gas in Serbia has not changed for several years and is based on the price of this energy source of 260 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters. This means that those who have been using natural gas for heating for several years have the same costs for the same consumption, because a cubic meter of gas costs around 30 cents. Of course, the prices are not the same in the whole of Serbia and differ depending on the distributor, so they are somewhere a little higher, and somewhere a little less than that amount.
According to the president of the Assembly of the Gas Association of Serbia, Vojislav Vuletic, after the talks between the presidents of Serbia and Russia, more will be known about how much natural gas will cost for Serbia.
– Serbia signs a long-term contract with the company “Gazprom” and the agreed quantities are regularly delivered, and although it is not yet known how much natural gas will cost for our country from next year, it can be said that the price of about 450 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters is realistic – says Vuletic.
– The price of gas is formed on the basis of the oil formula, and since the price of oil went up this year and increased from about 55 dollars per barrel to about 80 dollars, we should expect natural gas to rise in price, Vuletic said, Dnevnik reports.
