Starting October 1, entrepreneurs as well as small and micro enterprises in Serbia will be able to sign contracts for guaranteed electricity supply, Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) announced.
Under this arrangement, these customers can purchase electricity at guaranteed supply prices, regardless of their consumption levels.
EPS stated that this measure allows a significant number of small businesses to reduce electricity costs compared to current rates and gives them the flexibility to choose between purchasing energy on the commercial or regulated market.
The change is also expected to increase the number of small customers on guaranteed supply, as entrepreneurs and micro-enterprises will now have access to the same prices as households, irrespective of annual consumption or the voltage level of their metering points.
EPS emphasized that this initiative “actively and concretely supports the development of the small economy,” recognizing small businesses as a key pillar of economic growth.
