Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) announced today that customers can now take advantage of a new, higher discount of seven percent instead of the previous five percent for timely electricity bill payments.
Starting with October bills, households that opt to receive their electricity invoices electronically via email and pay them by the 20th of the month will qualify for the seven percent discount. “With this initiative, we aim to encourage citizens to join us in contributing to environmental protection,” said Aleksandar Bjeličić, EPS Executive Director for Supply, during the opening of the 20th International Energy Fair in Belgrade.
Bjeličić emphasized that citizens can visit the EPS booth over the next three days to learn more about the benefits of switching from paper bills to electronic invoices.
The first step to receiving the seven percent discount is to choose the e-bill option, which can be done through the “EPS Uvid u račun” portal and mobile app, at EPS service counters, or by submitting a request available on the EPS website. He noted that the e-bill registration process is simple and offers the advantage of receiving bills by email much earlier than with paper invoices.
The second step is to pay the bill by the 20th of the month using the payment method most convenient for the customer, as they normally would.
