EPS CEO Dušan Živković confirmed that the company has initiated a process to increase electricity prices by at least seven percent starting October 1. Most of the additional revenue will be directed toward the development of transmission and distribution networks, while the production cost per kilowatt-hour will remain unchanged.
Živković dismissed claims of insufficient security at hydroelectric plants and emphasized that EPS operations remain stable, with the system fully prepared for the upcoming winter. Maintenance work began after the heating season, including major overhauls and the capital overhaul of block A6, with all EPS production capacities operating reliably.
In the first half of the year, EPS recorded a profit of 27.4 billion dinars. Although this is lower than the same period last year, Živković described the financial results as still satisfactory.
